Hey there, I’m Qamar Nivens. I’m an actor & filmmaker working and living in Philly.

Qamar Nivens is an actor, writer, filmmaker, blogger, and photographer. She’s a Philly native and a graduate of East Stroudsburg University. She is also a proud member of The Actor’s District family! She has appeared in numerous films and plays throughout Philadelphia. Qamar made her writing/filmmaking debut when she created & starred in the short film “From Here” which went on to be featured in two film festivals in 2020; Herstory film salon and Very Black Film Festival. She has a strong focus on drama, satire/edgy comedy, spirituality, and documentaries.

As a host and content creator, Qamar founded The Process Podcast, a show highlighting Philly artists, their own unique creative process, and how they navigate their personal journey in the industry.

Next up, Qamar is starting up her very own production company and creative collective, First House Stellium Productions. She is also in post-production for her second short film, Everything I wanted, which she also wrote and stars in.
